Operating the Secure Safety Clasp

Our brooches feature an extra-secure locking rotary clasp engineered specifically for heavy outerwear, wool coats, blazers, and knitwear. To Open: Gently press the safety latch and rotate the barrel wheel until the opening aligns with the pin, then lift the pin out. To Lock: Insert the pin through your garment, press the pin back into the cradle, and rotate the barrel wheel to lock it shut. It will stay firmly anchored all day without slipping.

Mindful Handling Technique

When fastening or removing the brooch, always hold the brooch by its sturdy brass stem or base plate. Avoid pinching or pressing directly against the delicate silk velvet petals or pulling by the fine wire filaments.

Where to wear a HOMI brooch — coat lapel, knitwear, scarf, hat or bag
Keep it dry — dry care only, keep silk away from perfume, hairspray, rain and sweat

Always apply cosmetics and fragrance prior to putting on your jewelry.

Brush to revive — soft dry brush along the nap, one direction
Store it flat in its own celadon gift box

The signature HOMI celadon gift box protects it from humidity, dust, and direct sunlight.
